Mmmonday! Ginger Cinnamon Cider
If you read Carrie Pony’s recipe for cider with Allspice Dram a couple weeks ago, you know we’re all about autumn here at TTP. And since you can never have too many ways to fix cider, here’s another cozy option.

1/2 gallon apple cider
cinnamon sticks
1 inch piece of peeled ginger
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Pour cider into saucepan, reserving two tablespoons aside.
Add two cinnamon sticks and peeled ginger, turn heat to medium.
Simmer for 15 minutes or until desired temperature is reached.
Depending on your taste for ginger, you may want to remove it before the full 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, mix the sugar with nutmeg and place on a small plate.
Using reserved cider, rub the rim of each mug and while still wet, dip in sugar nutmeg mix.
Fill with hot cider and add a cinnamon stick for stirring.
Yum!
